Our Philosophy

PCA seeks to partner with and back interesting entrepreneurs who have found their niche or wish to fund a strategic investment to support their convictions. PCA never wishes to interfere with the operations of any company it finances or takes as collateral. We firmly believe that the entrepreneur or investor who we back is fundamentally the best person to direct their business. For that reason, we do not seek board seats or any other form of control over the enterprises we back. We solely seek to make our return by selecting and partnering with great entrepreneurs, operators, and investors who wish to bootstrap their activities by utilizing existing assets. Underlying any credit transaction is mutual trust; and we take great care to establish mutually beneficial arrangements that don't overly burden borrowers.

Managing Partner

Nader Hashemian, CFA

Nader has been in the alternative credit and high yield space for nearly a decade. Prior to founding PCA, Nader spent close to eight years at New York Private Finance ("NYPF"), a subsidiary of Emigrant Bank focused on structuring loans to individuals and entrepreneurs secured by their illiquid private equity assets. As Vice President at NYPF, Nader worked closely with dozens of talented entrepreneurs and professional investors to structure creative financing solutions to their unique business problems. Nader received invaluable, hands-on apprenticeship under veterans of the banking industry who founded NYPF under Emigrant Bank's platform. Prior to NYPF, Nader was an analyst in the leveraged loan department of Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank, where the firm invested in traded bank loans of large, private equity backed enterprises. Nader began his career as an analyst in commercial real estate finance.

Nader earned a B.S. in Management Science / Economics and a minor in Business / Finance from the University of California, San Diego. Nader is also a CFA Charterholder.
